The Concept :- The word ‘Fashion’ is associated with creativity, innovation, glamour and trends. Designing is an aesthetic expression of one’s creativity so for the students with creative talent and innovative minds , career in designing can prove to be a good choice . Fashion designing is a planned business activity which involves knowledge of consumer behaviour, market –domestic and international and of the factors influencing the movement of fashion . A designer uses technical information for making of patterns,uses different kinds of software for simplifying processes . Fashion Technology is thus a combination of Arts, Science, Commerce and Technology. A Degree in Fashion design imparts knowledge of all these things and enables the student to be skilled to thrive in today’s competitive world.

Careers in Fashion:- Careers in the field of Fashion gives flexibility in terms of work timings, work style and work place too. You can work as Couture designer for cuatomised styles and classic creations or work for the readymade industry on mass level, as a Stylist , Merchandiser, Consultant , Fashion forecaster, Fashion show coordinator, Quality control expert, Operating officer , Manager , Fashion photographer, Fashion journalist or as an Education facilitator. The versatility of jobs in this field accommodates almost every kind of skill set.
