SIFT has arranged a visit to Mumbai at kala ghoda festival and colaba market
Suryadatta Institute of Fashion Technology & Mass Communication has arranged a visit to Mumbai at kala ghoda festival and colaba market. Visit was held on 10th February 2015.
We started by pragati express at 7.45 am from pune station and we reach to Mumbai central at 10.30 am. First we visited to kala ghoda festival which is near to Jahangir art gallery walk able distance from Mumbai central.
Kala ghoda festival is about showcasing the different art forms from all over India. Festival has showcased different themes such as Clean Mumbai installation by hindusthan Times based on Swaccha bharat theme, Vertical Mayhem for marshalls wall coverings, Last drop foe BSF, touch of life based on a camel in jute with taps depicts water conservation. Apart from this different stall from different states with their art forms like appliqué work bed sheets, Gujarat embroidery saris and dress materials, accessory stalls ets.
Immediately after this moved to colaba market which is famous for antique accessories, purses, chappals, wall hangings etc and after this we return to Mumbai central station to catch a deccan express at 5 pm and reached pune station by 8.30 pm.
